All housing inquiries are subject to applicable fair-housing laws. Sarah Lite is not to be used to discriminate in advertising, questions, or scheduling.
What Sarah Lite asks
For this pilot Sarah Lite asks only for a name, a move-in date, and a preferred showing time. It does not ask about occupants, employment, income, credit, criminal history, immigration, household composition, or lease length. Showing times are the times the poster entered, and the same open times are offered to every renter.
Owner text
An administrator reviews listing text before it can be published. Discriminatory wording is rejected. A review is required even when automated checks do not flag the text.
Vouchers and accommodations
A question about a voucher, source of income, or an accommodation is not used to refuse a showing. Sarah Lite gives a neutral reply and sends the question to the poster and to an administrator for handling.
